Deep link directory is a directory which allows you to submit internal pages of a website. Submitting to a deep link directory is a great way to increase the backlinks to your site.
There are several general directories that also allow you to submit deep links alongside with the main domain. Most of the general directories will require a small fee for deep link inclusion. However, deep link directories offer free inclusion. You can find a list of deep link directories from directory site such as web-directories.ws, directorycritic.com and etc.
Some deep link directories also offer paid inclusion. Paid inclusion usually offers extra benefits such as featured links and multiple link inclusion. With paid inclusion, your site will get approved by the editor within 1 – 3 days. If you can afford it, you should purchase the paid inclusion because it will give you a higher quality link. If you purchase the paid inclusion, your link will remain permanently in the directory. Free submission often can last for up to 1 year. After 1 year, the directory owner will remove the free links to reduce the outgoing links from the directory.
Deep link directory submission can help to get your site indexed faster. Instead of crawling the homepage and exploring the pages within the site, the robots can directly craw the internal link.
Hence, the internal page will get indexed faster. The deep link directory will also allow you to insert an anchor text for the listed URL. A different keyword should be used for each anchor text. The keyword which you use in the anchor text should be used in the page title. You can use a keyword suggestion tool to find the keywords for each anchor text. When choosing keyword, make sure it has a low competition. The lower the competition of the keyword, the higher the chance your site will rank on the search engine. Keywords with low competition are usually long tail keyword with more than 3 words. Short tail keywords are harder to rank for since you will have to compete with other authoritative website that already rank on top of the search result.
When submitting to a deep link directory, make sure you navigate to the most relevant sub category. You can vary the description to 4 -5 versions to prevent duplication problem. If possible, you should write a unique description for each directory.
Depending on the backlog, you will have to wait 1 – 3 months for your site to be approved. Once it is approved, you will receive notification email that your site is approved and live on the directory. Some directories may not send you a notification email at all so you will have to check back the directory now and then.
If you don’t want to waste time submitting to these directories, you can outsource it to a SEO company. Before hiring a SEO company, you should read reviews from customers to find out if the service is suitable for you. In addition, you can perform shopping comparison to find out the best deal available on the internet.
