For as long as there has been a business, there has been advertisement. Marketing ranges from free to paid, local to global, small to large. There are several benefits of any type of advertisement, ranging from introduction of a product, building a brand name, increasing sales, etc. If a company expects to grow, and become successful, then it needs some form of advertisement to attract customers to its product and or services.

As mentioned earlier, paid advertising has been around for a very long time, it has just changed its form throughout the years. Advertising channels such as television commercials, yellow page ads, bill-boards, banners, mail-outs, and cold calling still run rampant in today’s marketing environment. Many companies out there are set in their old ways and still rely heavily on this form of advertising. The problem with the traditional advertising channels is they are hard to track for the high dollar amount you pay for them.

There are alternatives to these forms of marketing that are advertised as free, but as history has proven nothing in business are free with the exception of word-of-mouth advertising. The biggest thing on the advertising market is search engine optimization (SEO) to get listed high in the search results and not have to pay when someone clicks on the listing. This is true, these clicks are free, but stop and think about it, you paid top dollar to build a website, then you pay 1,000's of dollar to have your website optimized, then you pay 100's a month to upkeep and maintain your website. On top of all that money you paid to get free listings, you really never know what exactly got you to that 1st page.

Pay Per Click advertising has to be, with-out question, the best performing medium of paid advertising to date. Instant exposure, within minutes, your company name will be out there in front of millions of online shoppers that are looking for you product(s) and service(s). Secondly, this quick mass exposure leads to instant leads, sales, contacts, clients or any other type of business goals that you have set. Third, any money conscious business owner loves the fact that they can set daily budgets, pay only when their ads are clicked, and best of all track the ads to see which one's work and which ones don't. Whether you're trying to build a local or global brand name, you have control over the regions, metros, and cities that your ads are displayed in. Finally, guaranteed positioning, allows for local and global branding opportunities when you are listed on that highly perceived as: list of industry experts, first page.

So, my question is why wouldn't you want to have a pay per click campaign. If you you are serious about running a successful growing business and getting affordable cost effective advertising, then pay per click is the answer to your bottom-line.
