You Have To Be Healthy To Lose Weight

How often have you heard that you need to lose weight to get healthy? How often have you been told that you must simply lose weight and all the problems with you health will also go away? In this article we are going to look at principle # 3 of "The 7 Principles of Fat Burning" and the fact that you have to be healthy to lose weight.

I am sure that over time you have most likely heard that you need to lose weight so that you can be healthier. You'll hear this because obesity is a health risk. It causes heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and stroke. It seems so easy to believe this, that fat is the direct cause of weight issues. Well, you might want to rethink this...

This isn't the case.

In fact, it is actually the opposite of what we have been led to believe. It's important that you first regain your health. Only then will you be able to achieve effective weight loss. The reason that you are fat is because some area of your body is not healthy. So many illnesses like heart disease and diabetes are all symptoms of a body that is in bad health to begin with. I don't know who started this all but somehow someone has made obesity the big bad primary cause or a disease. The real truth is that obesity is an effect or result of something else.

I'm certain that many of you have been struggling with obesity. If you are experiencing stubborn weight problems this is because you have unhealthy hormones. You simply cannot be overweight and healthy at the same time. Let me make sure you heard me; you can NOT be healthy while you are fat.

Until your body gets to a certain level of health, fat will not be released. You should not be surprised to learn why your body is holding on to fat so dearly if you understand the purpose of fat.

The reason and purpose of fat is as a survival mechanism. Until the source of stress has been removed - the threat to survival - your body will not let go of the fat. Consequently, your body won't let go of the fat until it is healthy.

Trying to correct you weight problem by leaping into a diet or exercise program without first locating the source of the problem has also proven ineffective. Focusing on weight loss as your initial goal is the wrong approach to losing weight and getting healthy. The goal that you need to be going after is creating healthier glands and hormones. Weight loss will occur when your body gets healthier.

The single most important thing to keep in mind is that your current weight is a symptom of poor health, not the cause. When you remember this you will be able to shift all of your energy and attention to fixing the cause. You will then be able to create a healthy body and the symptom of weight will not be a problem any longer.

The body type diet is the only way that you can really take control of your life and get the weight loss and health results that you are looking for. But Remember: It's not "lose weight to be healthy", it's "get healthy to lose weight"
