Working with Your Ear Nose and Throat Doctor
If you find yourself suffering from any of the problems mentioned, it is best to see an ear nose and throat doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. Schedule an appointment at the first onset of the symptoms to prevent serious complications. During your appointment, provide the doctor with your full medical record, including some personal information, past medical history, complete physical examination, and chief complaint. This will provide enough information to properly evaluate your condition. At times, an ear nose and throat doctor may recommend that you undergo certain procedures to thoroughly assess your condition.
After getting proper diagnosis, an ear nose and throat doctor will recommend treatments for your condition. At this point, make sure that you ask whatever questions you may have about your condition and what your treatment options are. Also, make sure that you inform your doctor of possible allergies to drug medications. This is to ensure that you will be prescribed drug medications that are right for you. Always take your medications on time and in the right dosage to maximize its effects. Monitor your body for possible side effects. If there are no changes in your condition or you are feeling worse than before, go back for follow-up checkup and report your condition to the doctor.
