When we really think carefully about how to lose weight naturally, the answer is surprisingly uncomplicated. We all need to eat food to live, and every food type has a calorific value attached to it that you can easily use to work out what to eat and how much of it.

Different people will need different amounts of food in order to maintain a healthy body. As we go through the day we expend calories to do what we do at home, work or play. Even during sleep, our bodies burn calories. So in its simplest form, if you want to lose weight naturally then you need to make sure that you burn more calories than you consume.

Establish your weight loss goal per week and work out the number of calories you need to eat to accomplish that goal or calculate how much exercise you need to undertake to attain the same weight loss goal. We can all achieve natural weight loss by making relatively simple life style changes.

Increasing cardio vascular rates by exercising burns off excess calories. Our heart is a muscle that works better with regular exercise. This does not have to be a hard work out, but regular activity that makes it work harder. Always seek medical advice if you have any condition before you undertake anything strenuous. Joining a gym is not necessary. You could begin your exercise program by walking regularly, increasing the pace when you feel comfortable. Jogging is also a good way to burn off calories too.

Some people try every diet that comes out and this often does not help them to lose weight naturally. We are all different, so there is not a "one size fits all" solution to natural weight loss. Some of you could be manual workers and will burn more calories than someone who sits at a desk all day. Any action plan on how to lose weight naturally has to be focused on what you eat and what you burn.

Look at the type of food you enjoy and look into how you can still eat the same food but in a healthier way. Say for example you love a bacon sandwich. Grilling the bacon instead of frying it can dramatically reduce the number of calories. Why not use a low fat spread on the bread instead of butter or consider no spread at all? You will still have a great bacon sandwich with all the taste, but without all those calories loaded with saturated fats. This is just a simple example of how you can still eat some of the food that you like by just changing the way you cook it!
