If your company has outsourced some of the work to virtual assistants and they have given your company an increase in sales because of their dedication to giving you exactly what you want, then just like regular employee, think of giving them an extra or a bonus.

A bonus does not necessarily mean that you will give them a mid-year bonus or production bonus, although those are good thought too, you can think of giving them an extra for a job well done. Some VAs on the blogs has commented that their clients gave them a 30% extra as a gift for an excellent job which generated the company a lot of revenues.

Remember, VAs work hard for a fraction of the cost of regular employees and they don’t get benefits. They work out of their homes and they sometimes do work that may take two or more regular employees to complete. Giving an extra like a bonus or a tip is not a big deal, especially again if your company gained a lot because of the VAs work.

Giving a bonus is also a pat on the back of a VA and sometimes there are people out there who may never have been recognized for their good work. So, give them an extra.

Now, there are some companies who are Scrooges at heart, so a monetary bonus may not be in the plans, why not simply give them a day or two off of their jobs with pay that you generally give them when they work for those two days. This way, the budget remains untouched and your VA will get the much needed rest that they deserve.

There are a lot of ways to give extras for a hardworking VAs and these freelances will recommend your company to others when the time comes for a big job that needs to be completed immediately or at a certain deadline. If you are a company who is willing to give that little extra boost to your VA, then do so and you will get better results from them because they now know that you are serious about your considering them not as just mere virtual assistants but as human beings who work for you.
