People never think to do brain fitness for themselves and think that having a bad memory just comes with turning older as the years pass. It doesn't have to be that way though; doing exercises to help stimulate your mind can help prevent the risks of developing diseases such as dementia and Alzheimer's.

There are also activities online that have games and brain fitness to help improve memory and keep it entertaining for the individual. The software, Brain Age, was designed specifically to help people improve their brain activity with easy-to-do math problems and literature passages that a person could say out loud to improve their memory. There is also the brain stimulation game,Sudoku, that helps the person use strategy and solve puzzles. Another game to help with the memory is Mahjong that involves strategy, skill and calculation. This game can be played with others or there are Mahjong solitaire games that can be played on the computer.
It doesn't take much to help improve memory and keep your brain active to help decrease memory loss. Even if you do brain exercises once a week will be considered helpful.
