How can you start a successful home-based business? There is so many opportunity out there that it is easy to get confused. Let me tell you how I got started. It took me 2 years to do my research, every opportunity that got my attention were in fact dishonest. They were not revealing there offer upfront, there was always hidden facts or costs.

After reading articles, blogs, forums and review, I knew exactly what I needed to do to start my home business the right way. Using the internet to make income is exactly like starting a new job; you need to learn it first. I don't like to say that but there is a learning curve and every person learns at a different paste. If you see an opportunity that promises you results within 90 days for example, it's not untrue because there are people having results inside that time frame. When you start, it might be 60 days or it might be 8 months, just remember that we are all different. It is clear that you must go through that learning curve to be on top of the game. With that said, my research was now different because I was looking for some education, not a making money scheme that promised me the world. I also found out that if you want to be successful online, you need to be in contact with people that have made it. So not only I was looking to get educated but I wanted to be part of a group of people that are successful online. My research was now specific and got more and more complicated. For sure, I could have applied at a university or a college but I was 37 years old at the time with 3 kids, a wife and a lot of financial responsibilities that prevented me to go to school since the closest schools are an hour away from where I live. So this is why I was turning to online education for that matter.

I'm a very dedicated man and when I have something stuck inside my head, I just find a solution. So I found a team of active internet marketers that are having amazing success with there online businesses to show me the ropes. For sure I can promote them but what I like about them is that with the training they have given me, I can promote any type of business using only the internet. Without being attached to only the promotion of there education program, I am a consultant helping any business owner to be online. So you can see that there is big differences between getting involved with a business opportunity in which you promote only there offer to what I've decided to do.

I must say that there is another type of opportunity that I've stumbled on last week that got my attention. You can have your own retail online store with products at your fingertips. We call this affiliate programs. They supply you website already design where you can choose from a list of millions of products and create your own retail web site in a day. When people visit your website and purchase any of the products you have chosen, you get commissioned. This can easily make you monthly income because the products you are promoting are known to the public and they are at competitive pricing. You see that there is a lot of ways you can make money using the internet; you simply have to decide what is right for you.
