Unbelievably, meals can be used as a tinnitus remedy. After all, not everything has to rely on medications or chemical based preparations or even surgical procedures. Meals as a type of medication has been used for many years, and has been known to yield spectacular results. The fact of the matter is: most medicines and chemical preparations revolve around amplifying the inherent healing properties of food, herbs and medicinal plants. So it only makes sense that this time around, mainly since not one of the artificial means appear to be working that we revert back to more natural based care choices.
The one thing that you might have to know about tinnitus is that this isn't a medical situation per se. Rather, the ear ringing sensation is a symptom of an ailment or sickness or a change in physiological processes. For example: ear infection, earwax impaction and acoustic shock can result in tinnitus. So with a view to resolve the problem, these aforementioned medical situations have to be addressed first; with all hopes that as soon as these are gone that no permanent damage to your hearing should remain. So here are a number of recommendations on easy options to utilize food as a tinnitus remedy.

Cut back or completely get rid of caffeine and alcohol from your diet. Generally, when you drink lots of caffeinated beverages or devour an excessive amount of alcohol (or worse, in case you combine each,) you can hear that faint buzzing sound in your head. These are in fact neurons firing off all at once, telling your brain that you are on hyper mode. Toning down your consumption of such drinks may keep that buzzing sound at bay. At the very least, you may want to switch to decaf or non-alcoholic beverages for the time being.

Increase your Vitamin A, B, C, E and Zinc intake. However make certain these are taken from organic and lightly prepared meals, instead of supplements. It should be noted right here that as you proceed with this type of remedy, it's important to shy away from medicines, supplements or other chemical preparations that your body does not really require.
Good sources of Vitamin A include apricot, beet greens, broccoli, cantaloupe, carrots, chicken liver, eggs, fish and fish oil, kale, mango, milk, orange, pink grapefruit, pumpkin, shell fish, spinach, sweet potato, and various kinds of dark, green leafy vegetables. Great vitamin B sources include banana, beans, beef liver, chili pepper, lentils, tuna, turkey and fat-free meat products.
Vitamin C can be found within the following: black currant, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage (raw), cantaloupe, cauliflower, garlic, grapefruit, guava, kiwi fruit, lemon, lime, lychee, mango, melon, orange, papaya, parsley, passion fruit, persimmon, raspberry, red pepper, spinach, strawberry, and tangerine, to name a few. Great sources of Vitamin E include: asparagus, egg, milk, nuts, seeds, spinach and whole grain foods. Lastly, some of the best sources of zinc are: almonds, beans, black currant, bran, fat free red meats, nuts, poultry liver, seeds (pumpkin, sunflower), whole grains, and wheat germ.
Food as a tinnitus remedy would also work well should you keep to the recommended portions. That means, you spread these food types out between five or six small meals per day. It simply would not do you any good to eat too much, since everything in excess can cause ailments, illnesses and physiological changes also.
