When it comes to watching a complete drama series, then people tend to go for The Dead Zone. The show blends thriller, science fiction and suspense to deliver a complete entertaining drama to the people. It’s an American-Canadian series that made its debut in 2002. The characters of The Dead Zone are based on the characters of a novel by Stephen King.
As far as story is concerned, The Dead Zone episodes center on Johnny Smith, who is played by Anthony Michael Hall. In the first episode of the show, Smith meets with an accident that leads him to a coma. After six years, he overcomes coma but realizes that he has developed some psychic abilities.
Here Stephen King, who serves as the creator of the show, tries to depict what is beyond the imagination of common people. It is totally based on the belief of the people. A psychic person is a person, who has the ability to know about something that is far away from the normal senses of human beings.
Similarly, The Dead Zone depicts that Johnny Smith gets visions of the past and future just by physical contact with a person or thing. Even the doctors believe that his used part of the brain is trying to balance the function of the injured part of the body. When it comes to a situation like this, people remain in confusion and disbelief.
Even today, this remains a mystery. In 1988, the US National Academy of Sciences presented a report on this psychic subject that said, that there is no scientific explanation from the research carried out over a time span of 130 years of parapsychological phenomena.
But ignoring the reports the US National Academy of Sciences, The Dead Zone episodes tries to realize the viewers that these abilities are present that can be very useful. In the show, Smith uses his psychic abilities to solve the crimes. Stephen King specially showed this ability in a good form, so that the people don’t take this in a negative way.
The effort of Stephen King proved successful and people like the show. The power to solve crimes went for six seasons. The last season of The Dead Zone was filmed in Montreal and the season came up with a statement "The season that changes everything".
Now that the show is off air, it is rumored that the show will renew for the seventh season. People want Johnny to solve some more crimes through the show. But producers find that the show has come to a saturation point. They are finding the production cost too high to renew the show for the next season.
But there is no need to worry, one can still catch all The Dead Zone episodes on the internet. Just get the show through subscription websites.
