Every year, Mendoza province is chosen by lots of visitors from different countries to spend their vacation time. The Diplomatic Hotel, placed in the city of Mendoza, hosts tourists from all over the world. Its landscapes and its developing winery industry turn the capital of the province into one of the most relevant cities in Cuyo region.
The touristic attractions are quite abundant. Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in America, seduces every alpinism lover who enjoys challenges. In fact, year after year, alpinists come to Mendoza to climb it. This region is worldwide famous as the land of sunshine and good wine. The gentle climate conditions and the constant irrigation of the arid soil make this land perfect for vineyards and wine production. The Malbec made in Mendoza is regarded as one of the most exquisite wines in the entire world. In addition to its natural and gastronomic features, the province of Mendoza has a significant historical background. There, General San Martin, the Father of the Nation, and his army, began the crossing of the Andean Mountain Range. They crossed to Chile in order to fight for the freedom of the people in South America. As the start point of San Martin’s revolutionary action, Mendoza is considered as the cradle of our nation.
The province of Mendoza is located along the Andean Mountain Range, with the Tunuyán and the Mendoza rivers on the opposite side. These natural characteristics make the capital city and its neighboring areas the perfect holiday destinations during the whole year. The weather is usually warm and temperature is quite gentle. In winter, it usually drops to 0°C and the powdery pristine snow becomes the major attraction. The ski season begins and the ski resorts such as Las Leñas o Los Penitentes get really crowded. Fans of outdoor activities and extreme sports feel in Heaven when they visit Mendoza. Its rivers are perfect for windsurfing, rafting or kayaking, and its mountains offer a great opportunity for rock climbers.
During your stay at the Diplomatic Hotel, you can enjoy many of the cultural and historic attractions in the city of Mendoza. Museums, public buildings, parks and squares make this capital one of the most interesting and attractive cities of the country. Traditions, stories, regional products and beautiful natural landscapes delight each one of its visitors and provide them an unforgettable experience.
