When talking to a new MLM prospect, it is very important to remember that this is your business and you are in charge. The conversation needs to be approached with the mindset of an interview. This is yor interview and you need to keep control of it. Your time is a valuable commodity. Almost everyone who starts in the network marketing business could not even imagine turning someone away from their business, especially in the beginning. Not everyone is going to be right for your network marketing business. The beauty of this is, that you get go pick and choose who you want to work with.

Here are a few questions that I like to start off with.

  1. Why has you intrigued about this business? One of the first things I try to determine is what is driving my prospect? Why are they looking for this? Some factor inside them has them seeking this opportunity. Using this information you can build trust, develop a relationship and use it to guide them with their decision.

  2. Have you been your own boss before? This will give you some kind of idea of their familiarity level.

  3. What is your current job and are you happy there? Are they disappointed in their current job or career?

  4. What type of earnings are you looking to generate? This clues you in to what they are expecting fro this opportunity and lets you know what they are going to need to do to get there.

  5. Do you think you will be able to make that kind of money? This is a bold subject, but it is one that needs to be probed. What is their real frame of mind? If they can not see themselves doing it, how are they going to turn it into reality?

Once you have a one hundred per cent, eligible prospect, one technique I like to use to explicate the opportunity is using third person credibility. Now this may be in the form of some type of guided presentation, or my favorite, doing a three way call with someone in your Up line. By them hearing that other voice shows them know that they will not be alone and reinforces that team approach. Here they can get a real sense of the esprit de corps that you have on your private team inside your organization. One very important point to make regarding that three way call is, once you get them on the phone with your Up line, no matter how successful and experienced you are; once your Up line starts talking your only job is to remain quiet. This is their chance to hear from someone else and they have almost certainly already been listening to you for quite some time.

With these key questions in your hip pocket, you will get a good feel for your prospect that stands before you..
