I received a call the other day from my best friend and you would not believe the story I was told about Network Marketing and Home Based Business. This story is typical of the reason why I never got involved in the industry in my early professional career and why so many people stay away from the industry like the plague. I am here to tell you, there are unprofessional people in Corporate America and Home Based Business. It is a personal choice.

My friend was literally attacked by a gentleman who was providing transportation service to him on a business trip. This gentleman was so aggressive that he told my friend that he was pretty much an idiot for not looking at his business. All of this was after he told the gentleman that his best friend was in a home based business and he was aware of the industry. He continued to talk about what he cared about shoving down my friends throat without a care in the world for my friends needs.

I applaud my friend for maintaining his integrity as he told me that the gentleman made him so mad that he wanted to tell him where he could go and what he could do with his network marketing opportunity. Why do so many unprofessional, rogue business owners continue to exist? I am both upset and mad at an industry that continues to collect the checks from these people. How do we fix it?

A good thing in the hands of the wrong person is always dangerous. Unfortunately, the bad apples seem to be everywhere in the home business industry because the majority of people are never taught any professional sales and marketing techniques.

To combat the negative stereotypes and unprofessional nature in the industry, each Home Business Owner who is building a team in the Network Marketing industry has to take it upon themselves to help those in desperate need of some professionalism. We have to take on an each one, teach one type of mentality to cleanup this mess.
