Numis Network has become the darling of online network marketing over the past year. When top internet marketers like Cedrick Harris and David Wood joined the team, the inferno of excitement grew that much more.

Seemingly out of the blue, last week the viral rumor mill of the online world was buzzing with the news that one of the top leaders and public faces of the Numis Network opportunity was leaving for another company. Then came a flurry of videos, blog posts and round the clock conference calls and webinars. I found out about the "turmoil" through a barrage of emails to my inbox. As the smoke cleared some found themselves excited about new opportunities, others were wondering what would happen to their business and others were trying to lead a stampede to a new business opportunity.

This raises the original question: Is the Numis Network business self-destructing?

There are two directions from which to answer this question…the big picture and the personal application that comes from this series of events. Let’s start with the big picture. These cycles are not unfamiliar to the network marketing industry, where it is not uncommon for a top leader to move in a new direction, taking their team with them. The rumor mill always fires up that there is a problem, irreconcilable differences, etc… The reality is that this is a business and a good leader is constantly looking for ways to build a more profitable business. This often involves the addition of a piece to the overall business model and at other times it means letting a piece go. In the case of Numis, the leader in the middle of all of this "speculation" is simply choosing to redirect his focus on an additional business opportunity, creating yet another stream of income. On the other side of this equation is the truth that you are ultimately the one responsible for your network marketing business. Another key leader within Numis began a series of webinars and added an large number of people to his team over the past week. The bottom line is that he took responsibility for the health and well being of his MLM business.

This brings me to the real lesson of this whole series of events. When the day is over, you are the one who is responsible for the health and profitability of your business. You may initially join a business because of a dynamic leader, but from that point on you need to evaluate all other choices with your business through the filter of what is best for you. As time goes on, the decision to draw back from the Numis Network opportunity will be the best business decision some distributors could have made. For others the decision to stay true to their original course with Numis will be the best business decision they could have made.

Succeeding in your Numis Network opportunity requires a solid understanding of effective tools and business building strategies. Carl Willis provides weekly training to teach you the strategies of generating Numis Network business leads online.
