The Nokia N97 Mini is the little brother of the successful Nokia N97. Why change something that works well? Size doesn’t matter, right? Let’s find out if bigger really is better.
Easy to use
For anyone who likes social networking, the Nokia N97 Mini is the ideal phone. After a quick start it’s possible to setup the desktop just the way you like it. Add your favorite apps and use them with just one click.
Easy online access
The Nokia N97 Mini makes it possible to get online and use the phone n just a few steps. Sites like Facebook and Twitter are already installed for your comfort en within no time you’re connected through GPRS, UMTS and GSM. Of course there’s wi fi and you can install your own email account to check your mail on your Mini.
Stylish users
Nokia clearly thought of stylish, socially active users when they designed the N97 Mini. Just like they did with the N97, the Finnish company describes the phone as a mobile computer. The result: a handy small gsm with qwerty keys and lots of multimedia options.
Battery
Maximum time of speech is (under ideal circumstances) 430 minutes. Standby time is 320 hours.
State of the art camera
With the 5 megapixel camera you can take some pretty cool photos. The lens hood that was on the N97 has been removed, which is a good improvement. Because of friction with the hood scratches appeared on the lens… not anymore though!
Around the world
The new Ovi Maps-interface is a cool addition. Navigation is now even more easy, thanks to worldwide walking navigation. The Mini also has access to information from Lonely Planet and Wcities, which makes your phone the best –and very smart- travel partner ever.
Many multimedia choices
De Nokia N97 Mini is just as versatile as the N97. Listen to the radio on one of the FM stations, follow your own tracks on GPS en use your own tunes and films to entertain yourself. With the new Facebook Lifecasting it’s possible to let people know where you are through GPS. The Mini may be smaller, it’s a guarantee for big fun!
Mini
It’s obvious the Nokia N97 Mini is indeed smaller than its predecessor. The fully slidable keypad is a good example. It looks the same but the keys are just a tiny bit smaller. No difference in use though, the keys are as far apart as they were on the N97 so no worries that you’ll press several keys instead of one.
Small hero
Nokia’s N97 Mini can do as many tricks as the regular N97, but the screen is clearly smaller with its 3.2". Memory slimmed down from 32GB to 8GB, but of course this is extendable with a memory card. A smaller phone has smaller keys (not too small though) and the Mini is a bit slimmer than the N97.
Cool design
The Mini is very compact and it fits perfectly in your palm. The rustproof steel accents and the system that flips the screen look very advanced. The Nokia N97 Mini is only available in grey.
The Nokia N97 Mini is the highly successful N97’s smaller brother. Though the N97 was a huge hit for KPN, Nokia decided to change things a bit. Check out everything about the Nokia N97 Mini at KPN.
