Everyone would like foods that can help them burn fat. There are several foods that we eat that do burn fat. The whole trick is to learn what foods they are, so we can use them to our advantage. Below I am going to outline 6 Foods That Burn Food faster Than Ever! These foods have been clinically proven to promote weight loss.
The two (2) most important things about these "Fat Burning Foods" is they are very rich in nutrients AND have the ingredients that burn away fat.
Apples - This fruit is very effective for burning fat. Apples elevate your blood glucose (sugar) levels in a gentle manner and keep them up longer than most foods. Researches say Apples keep you feeling satisfied longer. Apples are one of the richest sources of soluble fiber in the supermarket. This type of fiber prevents hunger urges, by guarding against dangerous swings in blood level.
Grapefruit - Grapefruits are just great in so many ways. They dissolve fat and they dissolve cholesterol. The average size grapefruit has 74 calories. Grapefruits have approximately 15 grams of Pectin which is the special fiber linked to lowering both cholesterol and fat. Grapefruits are high in Vitamin C and potassium. Grapefruits are rich in natural Galacturonic acid, which adds to it's potency as a fat and cholesterol fighter. It helps fight against hardening of the arteries, and the development of heart disease.
Mustard - If you are like me your gonna love this. Try the really hot, spicy mustard. The kind you find in Asian import stores, specialty shops or in an exotic grocery. These mustards, like the ones found in some Mexican, Asian or Indian recipes, speed up the metabolism. About one teaspoon of these mustards, will temporarily speed up your metabolism just like caffeine. The best part is mustard is natural and totally safe. You can have mustard every day, and it really works. Studies show it can speed up the metabolism by as much as 20 to 25 percent for several hours.
Soups - My old time favorite. Homemade soup is good for you. It promotes weight loss. Not the canned varieties of soups from the supermarket. Researchers have found that dieters who ate a bowl of soup before lunch and dinner lost more weight than dieters who didn't. In fact, the more soup they ate, the more weight they lost. And soup eaters tend to keep the weight off longer. Try not to eat cream soup, or those beef or pork soups.
Spinach - Remember that great cartoon, Popeye? Well Popeye was right! Spinach has the ability to lower cholesterol, speed up your metabolism and burn away fat. Spinach happens to be very rich in iron, beta carotene and vitamins C and E. Spinach supplies most of the nutrients you need. And it tastes great too!
Tofu - I have to be honest here. Originally I did not like Tofu. Then I learned all the ways to eat it. I cannot say enough good things about Tofu. It is a health food from Asia. It is also called soybean curd. Tofu is tasteless. Any spice or flavoring you add, blends with it very well. A 2 1/2" square of Tofu has 86 calories, and nine grams of protein. It also contains calcium and iron, and has no sodium. Tofu has NO, not a bit, of saturated fat. Tofu makes your metabolism run high, and another great thing is it lowers cholesterol.
