If you want to stay on the first page once you get listed on google there are a few simple steps that you can follow in order to make sure that happens. Before you do any of of them though you first have to get listed. It will take you a little work but once you appear it is not hard to keep your spot.

The simplest thing that you can do is to keep updating your site with content. If you get listed and your site starts moving up and down on the search engine results it may be because your being out ranked by other sites with fresher content. You should at least update your site once a week with an article or a video or some type of quality content. Google likes fresh content, that's why Wordpress blogs rank so well. They are simple to update and you can get blog posts listed as separate pages.

Another thing that will help you to keep your spot is creating more and more backlinks. If you get listed in google and you are getting some good traffic, don't stop creating backlinks. Keep those backlinks coming so that you can guarantee that your site will not move from its spot. By then you will most likely be making money so you could invest in a backlink service or just hire someone form ODesk.com to continue building your backlinks so that you can continue to increase your link popularity.

You can always have your ODesk.com employee create more and more Web 2.0 sites for you with good content so that you can increase those backlinks and also start having those Web 2.0 sites get listed on Google. There is really no reason why you should loose your spot once you get listed. If you do, its either from lack of activity or one of your competitors has done a little bit more to get there site ranked higher then yours.

So just create more videos and submit them to video sites, post more content to your blog or website and make sure you continue building backlinks to your site. If you keep updating your content at least once every week and stay on top of your competition you should not have any issues with loosing your spot once you get listed on google. Just stick to the basics and you should be fine.
