As I have mentioned above, panic attacks have unfavorable manifestations. Some of them are shortness of breath, heart palpitations, trembling, increase perspiration, nausea and vomiting. For some individuals, these symptoms are just too unbearable especially the shortness of breath. The moment the panic episodes start to occur, most sufferers feel as if they are drowning and this is the primary reason.

To counteract those unpleasant symptoms, there are some therapies that you can try. Among those is the breathing therapy in which you are taught how to do the correct breathing technique. Breathing with the use of pursed lips will most likely be taught and practiced. It is performed by breathing deeply using the nose and exhaling slowly with the lips pursed. It may be an easy technique but can be difficult to do during the attack.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is another famous therapy. From the term itself, this therapy aims to link your thoughts with your actions. The thoughts I am referring to do not need to be your present thought, they can also be problems or issues in the past that are still affecting your behavior today. It may demand lots of time but it will surely offer great outcomes.
