A holiday is a time which everybody wants to spend lavishly. It helps to rejuvenate and refresh you from the daily hectic schedule. Nobody will feel good if by any reason you get upset because of particular thing you missed.
Here with the help of this article I will let you know some tips which you can use while doing a final check up. Once I met a lady on New Delhi Airport, she was carrying a knife, cigarette lighter in her handbag whereas her credit cards, traveler’s cheque, and cash was in her pouch which was lying in her suitcase. It’s not only important to keep a tab on what we can keep in our luggage but also what we cannot.
The foremost important is to evaluate the place whether it is a hill station, beach, or any other place. This way you will have an idea of climate and you can do your packing accordingly. Check all the required clothes and slippers. Give extra attention on the cosmetic bag, toiletries, or any chunk of jewellery you are carrying.
Some of the cosmetic and toiletries should be in your handbag like, facewash, paper soap, wet tissues, comb, lip balm, sunscreen, etc. Before you start whether you have kept you camera, mp3 player, I pod, book, etc. to keep you entertained throughout the journey.
Most importantly check if you have kept you passport (if going for international holidays), air tickets, currency handy or not. You should also check your travel insurance, and other necessary things like hotel booking details, etc. Try to segregate your money, credit cards, ATM cards, etc. separately. This reduces the probability of losses. Also label your bag with your name and contact number, this will help you to get your bags easily after baggage check.
Remember to carry all important keys like your home key with you. It is also advised to confirm your hotel booking before you left from home. Make sure you carry a map of the place you are going to spend your holidays. A map will help you to locate all the different places easily without any help.
Lastly, always take all the important phone numbers with you. You should have the phone number of your travel agent, bank personnel, hotel, your relatives, etc. It really helps in case of emergencies. Moreover you should have scanned copy of your passport, visa, credit card, etc. on your mail which will help you have instant information if your things got misplaced.
I am a traveler from India, I like to explore every part of my great country. I usually write articles on Air Tickets and International Flights.
