Squeeze pages are awesome when they build you an email list you can use to sell products and services to people with good email marketing - but when they kill your family, that's just going too far.

There's no reason to let squeeze pages kill your family though, and I can promise you that if you follow these steps, no squeeze page alive will EVER kill your family.

#1) Don't get too complicated...

Squeeze pages won't become evil and go on a murderous rampage through your house if you make sure to keep them simple. If you've programmed your squeeze pages to do all kinds of crazy things like talk to twitter, show videos, use animations and kill families, then you need to scale it back, and skip all the needless the programming. Just paste an optin form in there and some good compelling reasons that people should sign up.

There's no reason to create intelligent and hateful squeeze pages...

#2) Don't anger your squeeze pages.

Squeeze pages loath and despise it when you put the optin form below the fold. I don't know why, but for a happy squeeze page, make sure the optin form is visible without having to scroll down. Squeeze pages are tempermental and vein, so it probably has to do with their ego. Don't fight it, just appease them.

#3) Never change them without split testing....

Squeeze pages will get really mad and kill your whole family if you don't test your changes. If you're trying out new headlines, or adding a picture without seeing if it improves or damages your conversions, your squeeze page is likely to revolt and go on an unstoppable killing spree.

Don't let your family become brutally slaughtered by squeeze pages - follow the rules and everyone will be safe. Plus, oddly enough, when you follow the rules to keeping your family safe from squeeze pages, you'll also be building a list faster, and making more and more money every day from your email marketing efforts.
