Attraction Marketing-How to Bomb at Network Marketing

Starting out in network marketing couldn't be that complicated, right? I had a background in customer service, sales and figured this would suit my skill set. Wow, how I was wrong.

What you must realize first is that offline marketing and online marketing are completely different worlds with completely different sets of rules. My skill set experience came solely from the off-line world and when applied to the online world I fell flat on my face. I'm not saying these off-line strategies don't work because some people have had great success with them, OFFLINE. I figured I had to observe someone who had some success marketing online and try to follow in their footsteps.

After searching for some time I was introduced to a model called Attraction Marketing by a man named Mike Dillard. He spoke of ideas like having customers chasing you with credit card in hand ready to buy or making cash from customers even if they don't join your primary business. I couldn't believe it. I was always trained to pitch, pitch, pitch and if that didn't work pitch your business again! I also thought the only way to make money was to push your primary business to anyone with a pulse. Once I bought his book, Magnetic Sponsoring it was like the light at the end of the tunnel. Everything my upline told me to do was the exact opposite according to this book. Like throwing house parties with friends and relatives, purchasing junk leads, making cold calls to people wondering what I was selling and how I got their number. Some folks will put up a fight to these attraction marketing ideas while other will instantly embrace them. I had little to no success creating leads online until I started using these values.

Attraction marketing in a nutshell says that to get people lining up for your business you initially need to brand yourself and posture yourself as a leader. Prospects do not join your opportunity because it's so wonderful they become a member because of YOU. When you position yourself as a leader you build respect and trust with your customers. You automatically separate yourself from the 95% of others pushing their business. This will start the attraction process. Next is how to get compensated even when prospects don't sign up with your opportunities. This is called a funded proposal which is the process of selling reasonably priced useful products to cover your advertising expenses while keeping your real money maker on the back end. This gives you an advertising budget while you create enough leads to get the right people in your primary business. I say the right people because they must comprehend attraction marketing and be willing to apply it in their marketing. This creates duplication in your team for maximum profit and you're also not signing up people who want to use old school tactics that just simply do not work in the online world.

Obviously I can't fully explain all the principles of attraction marketing in this one article but you really need to come at it with an open mind. Your ideas and opinions about online marketing will definitely be challenged. I would use corporate websites, pitch to anyone with a pulse and use a memory jogger list to create a warm market. There are 97% of marketers online in some way or another are using these principles and are getting minimal to no results while the remaining 3% are utilizing attraction marketing techniques which generate 10 -100 leads daily, in some cases even more. I recall chatting with a prospect who said he would kill to have 5 leads a day to talk about his opportunity with but was not willing to spend $50 to get top notch training from master marketers who have blazed a trail and removed the pitfalls that would be there if he went it alone. I am not trying to make a sell so put your credit card away, I'm just giving some advice. Investigate for yourself, be rational in your choices and examine all the details to see if this makes sense. Are you part of the 97% and how are you going to get from lead poverty to lead prosperity. The decision to be a true network marketer is the same as being a business owner. This means to make it in this industry its going to take more than the old college try of 2-3 months. Just as in life there will be obstacles but with the right tools, training and leadership you will SUCCEED.
