The next edition of Made Expo, one of the most important architecture and building trade shows in Italy, will be held in October 2011.
One of the benchmarks for those who work in the field of building, architecture and everything that is connected to that, from floorings to isolation, from decorations to stairs, is Made Expo, the international architecture and building trade show that takes place in Rho, in the pavilions of the Milan fairgrounds. Having a look at the data regarding the trade show it emerges that Made Expo is the most visited architecture and building trade show in Italy, and the last edition of the fair, which took place in February 2010, confirmed this trend. With over 240,000 attendees, the number of visitors has increased by 21% in comparison to 2009, and this percentage is even higher if we consider the data regarding the number of visitors coming from abroad: over 23,000 attendees, 24% more than 2009. Most foreign visitors come from Europe, but there are also many people who come from Asia to visit the trade show. There are also visitors from Africa, North, Central and South America, and to a lesser extent from Oceania.
This increase in the number of visitors is notably meaningful if you think that we are going through a world crisis that is affecting many fields, including construction, but that does not seem to have had negative consequences on the trade show, on the contrary: Made Expo is still the main event of the sector in Italy, as well as an important meeting point and a chance to relaunch the field of architecture and construction, a wide field which includes many different subgroups.
Following the success achieved in 2010, the next trade show has been organized since a long time, and it will take place from the 5th to the 8th of October. There is still one year to go, but the organizers have already started working, as evidenced by the events that will take place in the next months and that can be considered as the "appetizers" of the trade show. First of all, Made Expo on tour: a set of meetings that will be held in different Italian cities from November 2010 to June 2011, to give the companies of all over Italy the possibility to take part in debates on some of the most important issues connected to the world of construction and architecture. The cities where the events will take place are Bari, Padua, Milan, Bologna, Naples and Rome, and the main issues to be discussed will be energy and acoustic certification, construction site safety, finishing materials, aesthetic innovations in construction, planning software, structural requalification.
For the trade show you will have to wait a bit more, but it is worth waiting for: with a 90,000 m² exhibitory space and over 1,700 exhibitors, including 254 coming from abroad, Made Expo is certainly one of the unmissable events for those who work in this field. The trade show includes eight sectors, to represent in an exhaustive way all the subgroups that make up the world of construction and architecture: structures, construction systems and materials; building envelope (window, door and external cladding…); interior architecture and finishing (flooring, interior finishing, curtains, stairs…); installations and renewable energy; construction supply chain planning and services; planning and construction information technologies; worksite equipment, technologies and solutions; sports facilities, swimming pools, fitness, urban furnishings.
