Funds are an essential part of every school because they serve as the blood and oxygen that keep the latter’s programs and projects afloat. It is a sad fact that a lot of schools today lack the necessary funds that they need to provide their students with programs that will allow them to develop more as individuals by letting them experience things that go beyond academics. However, all hope is not gone because the staff and administrators of these schools can always try to carry out school fundraisers. I will be discussing some good fundraiser ideas in here so if you are in dire need of funds, be sure to read carefully.
Let us start the discussion about schools fundraisers with a picture gallery event. In here, you need to post a notice in the different areas of your school inviting students who are interested in photography to take part in the event that you will be setting up in a few days. Ask the students in your school to take some unique and interesting photographs. During your event, you can display the photos that have been taken before the event. The photos can be a variety such as dressy pictures, vintage photos, family portraits, and glamour shorts. Choose the participant with the best pictures and ask him or her to give some cool tips about photography during your exhibit. You can also invite a couple of expert photographers in your community that can add some more photography techniques and strategies in the discussion. Set an entrance fee for the event. You can also try to sell out the photos in your exhibit but be sure to ask permission from the persons who took them.
Another good unique fundraising idea that will be really interesting is the laughter challenge. This event will require a good amount of preparation and hard work. In here, you need to invite and gather students who are experts at theater performances or those that are good at entertaining people. Be sure that the persons that you will be picking out at making people laugh so that you can let your audience have a really good time. However, instruct your stand-up comedians not to throw jokes that will be offensive to people. Advertise this even a few weeks before its launching date. Make colorful flyers and posters and post them at the different bulletins in your school. You can also try making a press release, which you can distribute to radio stations, local newspapers, and TV stations so that you can spread the news about your campaign as much as possible. Set the price for your tickets. If you want to make this event more lucrative, you can try setting up a snack bar as well where you can sell out tasty treats that people can eat during the show.
