Work from Home Business Opportunity Training. Phone List

Every multilevel as with every financial planner, insurance agency candidate, real estate agent, etc, you are told that your success lies in your list and how quickly you use it. There is some truth to that. However, there is not as much truth in that as you might think.

There is a truth in sales and marketing: Position yourself to be found by people who are looking for you.

In the traditional approach to sales and marketing, you spend almost all of your time finding people who are not looking for you or what you have to offer. And, that pretty much sums up almost everyone on your list.

Think about it: as you are compiling your list of everybody you know, as you write them down, are they looking for you right this minute. Are they thinking of what you have to offer? If they were, probably they would have solved that problem long before you got involved in it.

So, while you will convert a few of say one hundred people on your list, most of them will politely tell you they are not interested. Some will be a lot more blunt.

For my own list, I decided to wait until I was more successful and positioned myself to where they asked me what I was into and how I did it. That, in essence, had them contacting me. While it didn't guarantee anything, it made the phone calls 'an answer to' their question. A much better position to be in for both that call and for the future.

But, I still needed a list. And, the best size of a list for people 'in your funnel' is always have 100 people. Now, add the notion of 'people who are looking for you' to the mix. And, you have a far more productive list. Let's add one more consideration to the 100 people who are looking for you. What if they are actually waiting for your call knowing that someone is going to call them. And, then you have the right list.

Yes. I bought leads. 100 of them.

The key to leads lies in the questionnaire that the lead filled in. Most people who fill those things in online are really just looking for a job… not a business opportunity. What you will find is that most of the leads you buy are not biz ops candidates. So, that's why you really have to know who the people are who are providing the leads and the questions they ask. I got lucky. But, I had done my homework. So, I guess it was less luck than careful selection.

I lucked into a lead system where the lead seller also does online training into how to use your leads. So, I watched for about four weeks before finally taking the plunge. And, as suggested, I bought one hundred of the 'cheap' leads. As the instructor said, and he was right, you're going to blow the first few calls while you get accustomed to using your leads. You don't want to blow off the better, more expensive ones… the ones with the higher conversion ratios. I hope that makes sense.

When you work your list, not everyone will sign up. Your main job thereafter is to keep them in play even if it means asking them for their permission for you to check back with them in, say, a couple of months. I teach all my gang what to say and what to do. You definitely don't want to do it wrong at this point.

So, to me, you need a list of at least a hundred people to get started. But, I don't recommend your so-called warm market list. Remember: you want to deal with people who are looking for you and not for those who are not. You can catch up with them later.

Don't get me wrong. Your personal warm list will yield something good. But, on average, it will not produce as well as a list of people who have said they are looking. If money is an issue, work your own warm list.
