According to many Filipinos, condominiums are some of the best types of housing in the Philippines, particularly in today’s modern trends. However, other than condominiums, there are also a number of popular types of modern housing in the Philippines which can also offer the kinds of benefits in which condominiums are known for. Other types of modern housing include apartment buildings and townhouses.

Before condominiums became popular in the Philippines, there were other types of housing which were also known for its popularity in the market. These other types of housing include apartment buildings and townhouses.
Apartment Buildings
Before condominiums, apartment buildings were one of the first types of popular housing in the Philippines. And part of what made it popular and in-demand was also because of the same advantage of living in condominium, which is its location.
According to many Philippine real estate experts, most apartment buildings are found in business and commercial districts. Because of its accessibility to popular workplaces as well as entertainment districts, many Filipinos found these types of housing efficient. The disadvantage, however, is that these types of housing are not as permanent compared to living in a townhouse.
Townhouses
There are many other types of townhouses in the Philippines, and one of the most popular are those found in business and commercial districts. Similar to apartment buildings and condominiums, some townhouses are also found near business and commercial districts, such as those found around Makati City, Ortigas Center, Pasig City, and in many other business districts in the Philippines.
Because of its location, many Filipinos found this beneficial from their needs, particularly for the needs of their family. This is because most of these townhouses are found in small, private complexes, allowing their residents to enjoy a much more private residence compared to renting an apartment unit.
However, the disadvantage of living in a townhouse is its expensiveness. According to many Philippine real estate experts, townhouses became expensive because it aims to offer houses for wealthy families. This is the reason why apartment buildings are very popular among many Filipinos.
Apartment Buildings and Townhouses of Today
Although condominiums had steadily gained a lot of success in the Philippines, particularly because of its growing demands, a number of apartment buildings have returned in the market to compete with condominiums in terms of providing the best modern housing in the Philippines.
The best about apartment buildings, according to many Philippine real estate experts, is it aims to provide the same luxury of living in a condominium to the average Filipino. This is because renting an apartment is much more affordable compared to condominiums.
As for townhouses, nothing has changed other than the number of townhouses found in the outskirts have increased, particularly with townhouse complexes which is at par with condominium complexes in terms of providing the best modern housing for the modern Filipino family.
