I dreamed to be a rapper. Sing on stage, doing songs and earn the respect of friends. Just as I'm sure you've thought about or you're in that situation.
For starters, you need courage. Only courage. Go to a studio, record your first song. Everything will come by itself. Integrate up in hip hop groups that have common interest. Today the Internet will help a lot. Facebook, MySpace and others.
We're not big star, but I fed my pleasure. The emotions of the first concert you do not look easy. From my experience I can give you some tips about what and how we should proceed. Courage!

Being a fast reader helps. Practice by reading a passage of a book aloud and read it as quickly as you can. Time yourself until you reach a good time. At first you may stumble over some words. Keep at it until you can read it without messing up any words. Having a beat comes later.

Maintain good breath. Breath in between lines, breaks, whenever you can breath so you can keep going. One way to practice maintaining a breath is by jogging in place while you are rapping as you are hearing your ipod or mp3 player. If you get too out of breath, stop for a few minutes and start again.

Once you have your time down, it's time to introduce rhythm. Rapping is like singing in that there is a definite beat. It's just more punctuated when you are rapping. If you have to move your body or discreetly tap a table or your leg to keep the beat, do it!

It's boring to rap without moving or dancing. Bring the crowd into it with audience participation. Improvise when there are breaks in the lyrics. Have fun with it!

Rap is about ATTITUDE! This is not shy music. So really think about the words you are saying, the story you are telling and get passionate about it.
If you have an ear for music you can make your own beats. It is relatively simple. Find many tutorials on the internet in this regard. If you liked this article please visit my website http://www.hexbeats.com is designed specifically for those who soar into the world of hip hop.
