Shaklee is one of the longest established Network Marketing companies around today. They care about their customers and also about the environment.

If you spend any amount of time looking at their website you get the distinct impression that this is a company you can trust. You can see that they focus heavily on being environmentally friendly in as many ways as they can. Their complete product range is made from sustainable ingredients and all packaging is recyclable material. Their main offices in Pleasanton, California are built from environmentally materials believe it or not! The building is also pretty impressive if you look at their pictures. This company have set high standards for others in the market to work towards.

Shaklee was founded in 1956 by Dr Forrest C Shaklee. He made his mark in the early 1900's by making a pill called Vitalized Minerals, it was one of the world's first 'multivitamin' pills. He was a critical part in the formation of the health & wellness industry based around the network marketing business model.

From that day forward Shaklee has gone on to grow to be one of the largest companies of its kind in the US. In total they have nearly 800,000 distributors with a large number of them earning in excess of 1 million dollars.

Interestingly this company was awarded the Climate Neutral qualification which means that they have significantly reduced their emissions of carbon dioxide so they are not negatively affecting the environment in any way. Green is certainly their favourite colour.

What's in it for the customers?

They have got a good range of products available to sell. Health & nutrition supplements, weight loss, beauty and also household products. The company says that its products are always, safe, green and they work.

It's not too expensive to get involved with Shaklee, the cost of joining as a distributor is anything from $39.95 up to $750, so it's reachable for most. Higher up the compensation plan the company will reward your with flash cars and send you off on exotic holidays.

I've just touched on some of the main points here about the company, but regarding a Shaklee scam, I just can't see it myself. With plenty of respect for the environment and their customers and distributors, Shaklee seem to be setting good standards in the industry for all to follow.

There seems to be generally a lack of good training in our industry, Most MLM companies are just giving out the usual training of prospecting friends, family, warm list etc... People therefore don't get the success that they deserve which of course will lead to many people giving up and having a sour taste left for the business. Some may just feel like they got ripped off and can end up with a story far from glamorous to tell, over time this can lead to some bad rep for the industry as a whole, even though the business model itself is legitimate and based on helping others to succeed.

The reality is that we don't need to struggle in network marketing we can quite easily have the success that we deserve. Most distributors greatest struggle is with just 2 problems, a lack of leads and not enough cash flow. the fact is though that coming up with a solution to both of these big problems is relatively simple.
