A nice moment in the restroom could make you feel refreshed, empty your mind, and release stress from your body. Your restroom, after your bedroom, is the most private room in your house. It is a haven, or at least it ought to be. One technique to make it feel like one is by being sure your walls are painted to your particular taste. Here are a few tips on how to paint the walls of your restroom.
If you would like a calming, yet lively bathroom, make sure that you choose pastel colors. Examples of those colors are Mimosa Yellow, Perry Blue, and Lavender. Be sure that you add an eggshell shine.
Are you looking for a dark, yet intimate setting? Try a mixture of earthy tones, such as graphite, rusty orange, olive, gray, and brown.
If you have a smaller restroom, try to stay away from darker colors. Dark colors can make your bathroom appear smaller because light is unable to travel effectively across dark colors, reducing places which the eyes can see. If you would like to use dark colors, limit it to one wall.
However, even when using pastel colors, painting all the walls one color can potentially make the room look smaller. That's why it's best to paint in two different colors when painting the restroom.
An important thing to bear in mind, be sure that you prepare your bathroom correctly to keep mildew and mold from growing. This means that it is best to remove the old paint or wallpaper. Bleach dry any build up that you uncover, or call in a professional to handle it. Then, make sure that you use paint which will resist mold and mildew.
Bear the colors of your fixtures in mind before you begin painting. You'll need everything to match. Alas, you can either leave your present fixtures in place and choose paint which will accommodate them. Or, choose the paint which you really like and swap out your fixtures if needed.
