Television is a commodity that nowadays everyone is able to enjoy. The developing technologies, however, keep offering us more and more advanced types of television. We have cable, satellite and digital one. That gives us the advantage of having a choice. Each different kind gives us different advantages. Therefore, we have to try and judge right in order not to regret out decision. However, in my opinion the best type of television is digital TV.
Through DTV you are able to have up to six times more channels than with cable. This is good, because people like diversity in their life. However, big variety sometimes can be very confusing. Can you imagine having three hundred channels, how would you be able to make up your mind and decide which one to watch? That is why I will list you the top five digital television channels, so that you will not loose time picking the right one.
On the first place, I put the Discovery channel. This is one of the greatest channels for people who would like to be able to explore the world from in front of the TV. It has a variety of shows, for all kinds of people with all kinds of interests. It is fascinating to see places like the Coliseum in Rome or the great Egyptian Pyramids from your couch. That is why I think that this channel has earned the first place.
On the second place, I would like to put another extremely interesting channel called Animal Planet. Through it, people are able to enjoy the wonders of the planet earth and its beautiful nature.
On the third place, I put a channel for those who enjoy movies, HBO. This is the ultimate movie channel. HBO shows old and new movies, TV series or shows. It is best for simply relaxing in front of the TV. On the forth place I rank the most liked music channel in the world, MTV. This television programme has been existing for many years and has brought joy to people from all around the world.
Last but not least I place a channel for the little television viewers, Cartoon Network. That particular program is best for busy parents who just want to occupy their children with something. That is why it is a good channel, as you can simply leave your child in front of the TV and you can be sure that it will stay there. In conclusion, I must say that digital television is a thing everyone should be able to enjoy, an advantage that every home should have, a commodity that all have to have.
