If you are ordering promotional gifts for your company you may be trying to decide how to personalize them. The right method of putting your company’s contact information on the items you will be distributing can elevate simple gifts into something truly extraordinary. Here is what you need to know about the different methods that are available.
Just remember that not every method will be right for all items and you need to consider this as well as your budget when deciding which method you will use. Remember that you need to make sure that the gifts do not break your budget when you are looking at your available options.
Why is the right method important?
The right method is important for a few different reasons. The first is that they can add a touch of class to your items and make them look like they cost you much more than they may have actually cost you. The last thing you want is for your promotional gifts to look cheap or shoddy. The right personalization method can prevent this from happening.
There is another reason why the right method is important. Part of the reason you are handing out these items is as a form of calling card. Customers can see information such as your phone number and company name and get in touch with you in order to provide them with services. If that information wears off you may find that the item is no longer useful as a promotional item.
Hard Items
If you are giving items made of metal, wood or hard plastic as promotional gifts there are a few different methods that can be used to personalize them. Printing your information on the side of your items can work quite well but you need to make sure that the printing method will leave information on the item that will stand up to washing, use and the random rough handling that all items will experience at some point in their lifespan.
The two main methods that are used to personalize these gifts is to engrave them, where the information is etched into the item itself or by printing information on the outside of the item. Engraving can cost more but it will often last much longer than printing will so if it is within your budget you may want to go with engraving.
Soft Items
If you are handing out soft items there are two different methods that can be used to put your company’s logo and information on the items. Again, one method is usually much more affordably priced than the other but again, is likely to last longer and be more durable in the end.
The first method is embroidery. With embroidery, colored threads are used in order to permanently mark an item with your company’s name and logo. Embroidery will be more expensive if you are putting a large crest on the items or you are using multiple colors.
The other method is to print your information on the item. This can be done in a number of different ways some of which are more durable than others. It can be a good idea to speak to the company that will be providing your
promotional gifts before you choose which method you will use and pick the one which suits your needs and budget best.
