This is my cutting mat, I think it’s an OLFA -- yeah, it’s an OLFA brand. I really like this brand and I had this table specially made. It’s a good height, I like to stand cutting, perfectly fits on here, it’s a little wider, that’s fine. My brother-in-law made this for me, it’s a birthday gift and I use it all the time.

So, I have my cutting mat, you can of course get a much bigger cutting mat if you like. If you have bigger workspace, you can do a bigger one or a small one. Let’s see, I have a small one here. Of course, this one is a little bit warped. You can see I never use it.

So, you can get different sizes but to me, to me a perfect size is this one which is an 18 by 24 because when you get your fabric, if you want to cut your fabric, keep it on the fold like that where it’s folded and if you put it on the mat like this it fits.

You have a little bit room on both sides so you can see exactly. So when I -- which I will show you this more, I just want to show you a little bit why I like this size mat.

I line it up with a line on there even on this side and then I have this quilting ruler, its 24 inches wide which is what the width of my mat is, then I can just put it across like this and cut straight lines, however big I want them.

So to me, that’s important it’s to have cutting mat, a good ruler like this and a rotary cutter which is instead of a scissor. So this -- I like this one, this is a Fiskars.
