We all hope that babies can remain cuddly and cute all the time. But as parents know well, children grow up fast. If your child is growing up, you should consider changing the design of the baby's room. The ideal time to do this is before your child reaches middle school.

A home improvement project like this need not be expensive. For a more frugal option, decide which furniture you can build yourself and which ones to buy. You can DIY almost anything these days, with kits for loft beds, bed frames, cabinets and study tables available in almost all hardware shops. You can do this over the weekend.
Choose space saving furniture and appliances to allow your child to add some more stuff when he reaches high school. Give him enough space to play in, and enough surfaces for his old toys.
Elevated Sleeping Area
A loft bed is an elevated sleeping area with enough space underneath to accommodate a study table or a row of cabinets. To build a loft bed, you will need a kit and a lot of patience when trying to find the best position for the bed. You may have to assemble the pieces of the loft bed inside the room if you're using a kit.
A good suggestion is to have full-size loft bed as a sleeping solution.
Folding Chairs and Table
Children of neighbors, as well as classmates, will be dropping by to hang with your child. So, you have to make sure his room is conducive to socializing. Folding tables and chairs are the best for this purpose. This is also to conserve floor space just in case the kids want to sit in front of the console or create their projects on the floor.
Study Table and Computer Table
Computer tables are too small for any sort of project making, so make sure you have another "study" table inside your child's room. Your kid might prefer his own work table for doing homework or coloring instead of the dining room table. Because of this, you should get him a study table that's different from his computer table.
Ceiling Fans
Plain, thin-blade ceiling fans are functional as well as economical. Ornate, decorative ceiling fans are for the living room. Quiet fans that provide ventilation unobtrusively are great for a child's room. Installing a remote control ceiling fan can also be a good consideration.
You will also need to allow your child some independence when it comes to bedroom decor. Allow him to mount posters of his favorite characters on his walls.
