It is advised that you maintain your fuel injector by getting it cleaned and serviced every 25000 miles, so that there is no excess strain on your vehicle.

You will have to do less fuel injector cleanings if you simply switch from a pintle model, to the disc, ball, and seat design. The disc design for your injector will be less prone to deposit formation in the first place, but that does not mean that deposits will never be formed afterward. As well you will need to replace your injector, if your regular fuel injector cleaning processes do not remove the buildup, so remember this respectively.
