The Unit is a multi-starrer, action-packed drama commiserating the lives of military men, who leave their families behind to upsurge their country’s love. And they have achieved our love. We all know it is pretentious; we all know the characters exhibit futile threats to deplete their nemeses–but it is all the way entertaining, all the way loving! The episodes depicting families fighting their deep, confined love for their men of the house, grows deep inside us like a caterpillar making its way to life through brinkmanship.
The Unit episodes follow a top-secret, special force team of the United States Army, who are abroad on missions. They lead a missile-full life, not knowing when their life may run its full course. Their families back home live with the engraved-on-their-heart notion, that it could be any day when men with long hoods come knocking their doorstep, at the middle of the night, playing the messenger role, detailing ‘the man’s’ dignified parole to death.
The subject matter the show deals with, is not one that goes easily down our bowel. The majority of the shows we watch portray incidents picked out of our mundane lives. The Unit gambles family drama with some high-action sequences and scores well enough. It has run four seasons and all of them can be viewed online. All you need is a broadband connection, and the rest will come creepily, without you being aware of it!
If you have always loved war dramas (or if you have never loved, never seen war shows), catch The Unit episodes online. The blurry line that you have not managed to cross up until now (or if you have always hopped the same trodden path), the sitcom will only leave with an all-new experience, something you have not managed to infiltrate of late.
I have seen all the four seasons comprising of sixty-nine episodes, and have not stopped to ponder if I should continue with the rest. They have all been tempting enough to lead me to the following ones. Not only has it managed to keep the viewers’ attention alive, the entire cast has been right there from the beginning. No one was replaced, no one left. The members have commented on how much they like the show; critics have commemorated the sheer efforts put in by the entire cast; viewers’ have acknowledged and accepted the show with full-fledged hospitality.
If you want to join the league of these extraordinary gentlemen, watch The Unit online and I am sure that, like everyone else out there, you would start hoping – praying – for the show to return, with another season, with some more sharp content.
