The thrill and adventure is best when it is dealt with time-bound sequences of events. This is exactly what the drama series 24 presents to the viewer. It brings together many fictional people and organizations mostly in some scenario that when you watch regularly, builds itself to be a great political thriller. Each season, the base of the story is always such plots, and the characters are woven accordingly and to perfection. The only character to have been a part of every season and every episode, is the character of Jack Bauer, which is played by Kiefer Sutherland. The rest of the cast of 24 are either completely new, planned according to the situation, or if they are old, then they appear in some episodes of the season.
When you watch 24, it is the pace of the drama that keeps you glued to the show and this along with all the other aspects of a fast-paced action thriller, has made the series top the popularity and rating charts year after year and season after season. The character of Jack Bauer is an agent with a fictional organization of the United States called Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU). This organization is the center of all the activities in all but one of the 8 seasons of the show. The organization is run under direct federal control. It has basically two important departments: one is the external one that comprises of agents and field officials like Jack Bauer, and the other is the internal one which has analysts and technical people.
The show has a pattern that it follows in terms of its episodes, and that is, that they consist of narrative twists, which end in a cliffhanger fashion that results in the viewers not missing any of the episodes. The viewers have loved the show so much, that they search for it and watch 24 online as well. The previous seasons are also quite popular on the internet. In fact, the series has been in a class of its own, as there have not been any television series that presents one hour of activities in 60 minute episodes, and is so directed. Therefore the uniqueness of the show also made people watch 24 regularly on the network, and now online.
The final season presented the best season story till date with a star cast that was truly multi ethnical. There were actors featuring from other countries and nationalities as well. The plot was a global one as well, with the president of an imaginary Islamic country being the target of a death plot. You should watch the final season to get a true grip of what 24 is all about.
