Many people find that they develop a skin tag once in a while. In some cases, an individual may actually find many of them clustered in uncomfortable spots. Most people will eventually see a dermatologist to have them removed. But, unfortunately, skin tags have a reputation for popping up again and again. It may be a relief to learn that there are new creams available that promise to remove those bothersome tags naturally.
These new creams promise safe, natural removal of tags using herbal and organic formulas. You can use these creams to treat your tags, and moles, in the privacy of your own home. Most products are promoted to work quickly and efficiently
The best creams are said to be the result of much research. They are a cheaper alternative to paying for dermatologist visits, and using a cream may indeed be much more comfortable than the surgical removal of the tags. Having the procedure done in the medical office can be a bit painful, with stinging anesthetic, smelly burning, and undressing all a part of the process.
Tags tend to grow constantly. Many people find that they simply seem to grow repeatedly in awkward spots. Tags have been known to grow on necklines, eye lids, underarms, and even in groin areas. Some sufferers have found them in the most private of genital areas.
The soft bits of extra tissue tend to grow wherever skin rubs on skin. Overweight individuals can be bothered by them more often than not. Doctor tend to believe that spontaneous growth is quite common for tags. It is also common for them to rub off without ever causing a problem.
Dermatologists will remove tags that have grown in places where clothing, belts, or ties constantly rub across them. The problem is that constant pressure can cause them to become irritated, infected, and torn. If they grow to become much larger, irregular in shape or color, or if they tear and subsequently become infected, a dermatologist will have them biopsied. Though not known to be cancerous, the irregular ones should nevertheless be inspected more closely to rule out any suspicions of malignant growth.
Once you make the decision to remove your tags at home, you should be aware that creams can take some time. Many suggest that the removal process happens in stages. You can expect to apply the cream, watch these lesions change color, see a top crust fall off, and then watch the color gradually fade away. It may be several weeks before the tags are completely gone.
A natural cream will take several weeks before the tag actually disappears. Usually, the creams follow a step by step process. Their instructions indicate that there are different stages in the removal process, ranging from initial use, to scabbing over, and then finally healing.
Common tags are annoying. But a skin tag is not generally harmful. So trying out a removal cream may be one option that is more desirable if you have a lot of tags to deal with. The all natural creams do offer an alternative for expensive and painful office visits. Whether or not the cream works for each individual depends on giving it a fair try.
