The number of tourists going to the Seychelles every year keeps increasing, and the economic crisis has surprisingly done very little to change this. Because Seychelles is relatively cheaper than similar destinations such as Malta or even Hawaii, it has retained its popularity as a tourist destination. Tourists wishing to spend their honeymoon or holidays in the Seychelles have a good selection of accommodation to choose from. In fact, many feel overwhelmed as it can be confusing differentiating between the numerous hotels, resorts, guesthouses, or even villas present throughout the Seychelles.
As a matter of fact, tourists find themselves at loss even when they’re already decided to opt for a hotel. It needs to be said that Seychelles has a large number of hotels in spite of its small geographical size, and these range from a few 2-star hotels to fairly expensive 5-stars hotels. Choosing a hotel wisely is often the most important step to sticking to your budget, and a lot of people make the mistake of booking a more expensive hotel that they do not really need.
When looking for a hotel, you should take into consideration how much time you actually intend to spend in the hotel. For example, if you plan to spend most of your time on the beach and going out at night, it serves absolutely no purpose to book a gadget-packed room that will remain empty most of the time. Similarly, if your eating habits involve going to restaurants every night and quickly swallowing a very light breakfast every morning, going for an all-inclusive package is only going to cut a big hole in your expenses. As such, one of the most important things to consider is whether you will actually be eating at your hotel. If yes, it makes sense to go for an all-inclusive package that will reduce your bill. Otherwise, it is better to avoid those kinds of packages since you won’t be benefiting from them.
Another important factor when booking a hotel in the Seychelles is its location. You should try to get a hotel that is fairly close to the beach so you do not have to waste time walking to these beautiful beaches every day. In the event that you cannot do so, you should at least make sure that free transport to the beach is provided by the hotel. Thankfully, most hotels are located quite close to the beaches. However, depending on when you are visiting the Seychelles, you may find the hotels closest to the beach completely booked and may have to settle on a hotel that is not within walking distance of the seaside.
If you manage to apply these selection choices when booking your Seychelles hotel, you will easily stick to your holiday budget and may even spend less than you originally intended. Moreover, it is fairly obvious that the quality of your hotel, while important, is not going to be a determining factor in how much you enjoy your Seychelles holidays. You will very likely spend most of your time swimming or just sunbathing.
