Everyone would like their health to be good but not everyone has enough time to get in proper work outs and make sure that this is possible. This is why some health specialists are advocating the ten thousand step method. The strategy is that you take at least ten thousand steps each day (walking) which can help you get very healthy and cut down on the time that is required for exercise. Walking is a good, low impact, workout. How often have you noticed a physician say "just a single stroll around the block improves your health"?

Obviously, this will not easy to take ten thousand steps every single day. That's a lot of of steps to take! Thankfully, you are probably taking quite a lot of steps everyday and just don't recognise it. All you have to do is learn how to add in a couple or few thousand extra steps to achieve this goal. So how do you accomplish that without resorting to simply strolling back and forth all day long?

Increasing your current step count can be done easily using these obvious methods. Use the stairs rather than the elevator--that's rather simple. Parking at the far end on the parking lot is additionally a good idea at the mall or the store. To further this plan, you could also remain parked in a single spot and walk your shopping bags out to the car as you accumulate them-instead of carting them all over the shopping center as you run your errands. Using public transport is great for increasing your step count since you have to walk to the bus stop and back instead of just to and from the car. The most apparent way to do it, of course, would be to just take a quick walk each day.

Some less clear ways to grow your step count are also available. Plan a grocery store grocery list differently. Lots of men and women arrange their lists based on the aisles within their stores. Organize your current list in groups including dairy, meat, produce, snacks, etc. Simply buy straight down the list from here. You may possibly end up making several trips back and forth across the store, but it is a great way to increase your step count. Put your mailbox on a post along at the curb as opposed to on your door or in your wall. This means that the basic act of checking the mailbox can create a few dozen steps each day.

There are a lot of ways to build your step count. The more familiar with thinking about 10,000 steps you get the easier it will be for you to figure out how to meet your goal. Thankfully, every single step you take--whether it's walking to the refrigerator or running on a treadmill, counts toward your end step count goal. Have fun with this!
