Robert Kiyosaki best-seller of acclaimed "Rich Dad Poor Dad" along with many other international best selling titles shared on the Philippe Matthews show about his philosophy on boldness, trump, racial depression and paying the price to be rich.
Raised from a humble beginning, he shared that ""We go to school to learn to work hard for money. I write books and create products that teach people how to have money work hard for them. Then they can enjoy the luxuries of this great world we live in."
Discussing on the topic of paying the price to be rich, he shared that there are many ways one can become rich. For example one can be rich by being cheap but at the end of the day it is a cheap life story or you can choose to marry somebody who is rich or playing the lottery and hoping that you will hit the jackpot. Elaborating on his stand, he says that it is nothing but mindset.
On the topic of being altruistic and that one did not marry for the money but the person happens to have money, the price to be paid is knowledge because if something were to happen to the relationship, the person dependent on it is going to be broke.
In choosing Kim as his wife, Robert shares that he was very clear that they must have share the same values and that you have a choice in life. He would rather be lonely then miserable in a marriage because then it will not be worth it. Kim was there when Robert's business was losing money and never once did she ask him to get a job. In Robert's words, that's what Kim would say,"we will work through this together.’ We have learned so much together."
According to Robert, "she is the brains of the outfit but she really wanted to learn what my rich dad had taught me so she has taken off like a duck to water. She has her own corporations; she has her own cash flow. We don’t have prenups and all of that but if we ever split, it’s already split. She has her own corporations and assets but the most important thing is that we work together and have fun together. I always say, first of all, she is my best friend, secondly she is my business partner and thirdly she is my wife. So I didn’t marry one of these bimbo types. The smartest thing I ever did was marry her."
Rich Dad's Organization is the collaborative effort of Robert and Kim Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter, who, in 1996, embarked on a journey that would afford them the opportunity to impact the financial literacy of people everywhere and carry the Rich Dad mission to every corner of the world.
