The decision to start eating healthy can be easy but what’s tough is to stick with that decision. There may be a million different reasons why people quit but for this article, I'd like to focus more on ways we can keep eating healthy.

Step 1: Clean up the Clutter. To start your way to becoming healthy, I suggest that we start cleaning up our surroundings first. The decision to start eating healthy is the start of your body's cleansing process. This is a really smart decision but I believe that the cleansing process should not just happen within you but should also take place in your surroundings.

Throw away all the things that are no longer usable to make room for other things that you genuinely need like those appliances that no longer work but you still hold on to. Store things that you no longer need but are still usable like old clothes, old books, etc., in a box and it will be a good idea if you could donate those things to the needy. Also, create a storage space for the things that you don't use every day but may have a use for some other time. Work from your room to all the other rooms in your house especially your kitchen. Search through all the drawers, cabinets and all other storage areas.

Step 1.2: Consult a Health Practitioner or a Medical Expert. Remember to always avoid starting any new diet or exercise program without seeking professional medical advice first. This is very important! While you're doing your cleaning, make sure to speak with an authorized medical or health expert before starting a new nutrition program. It is always best to go to the practitioner who already knows your medical or health history or if he/she is no longer available, try to get a hold of practitioner from a reputable health care facility or organization.

Step 2: Set up the Stage. Your surroundings are now free of clutter. Your trusted health practitioner already gave you the go signal to start your healthy diet program. What to do next?

You may now start making your surroundings a reminder of your decision to start eating healthy and stick with it. Buy items or gadgets that promote and help you create healthy dishes like the Vitamix Blenders. It's such a wonderful product that can help you perform over 52 kitchen tasks without any single attachment and will be very useful to help you create healthy great tasting dishes.

Slowly do away with processed or canned goods. Start buying fresh and natural products and start filling your kitchen with them. You may also start researching for recipes or you can buy healthy cook books that you can display on your kitchen counter for easy reference and as a reminder that you are keeping your healthy diet.

Step 3: Plan your meals. I highly recommend that you have your menu planned for you to also have your shopping list organized. Healthy dishes are not available everywhere and may sometimes be difficult to find. If you have restaurants near your area that serves healthy dishes, then good for you but I believe they can also be difficult to find for most people. Thus, it is best that you plan your meals ahead of time. You can create a daily, weekly or monthly menu guide. It is best that you create dishes with the freshest ingredients and if you go by a weekly schedule, you can start creating dishes with the ingredients that easily perish or wilt like the green and leafy vegetables during the first few days of the week and leave the other ingredients that you can store for longer periods of time on the latter part of the week.

These are just a few of the steps you can apply to help you start and stay with your decision to eat healthy.
