Learning how to serve in ping pong is a fundamental principle that a serious player shouldn´t miss out. If a person ignores serving techniques it´s like trying to go upstairs, but wanting to start with the 10 step which is obviously impossible provided you are standing at the floor. Always take note on the simple and basic serving methods before you start something wild. Everyone has to start small, and there is no shame in learning everything step by step, because it truly is the most powerful and effective way and manner on how to proceed in this game.
Start with the easiest and initial skill and this is simply to hit the ball and bounce it from your site to the other site. A serve doesn´t get any more complicated than this at the beginning, just keep practicing the simple move and serve, and after time you will form a habit, and become better at it. Once a player managed to get the simple serving done, it is time to focus on the serving style that is appropriate in a real match. One of the rules of serving is to hit the ball behind the line of the ping pong table. Table tennis is really not difficult at all, like in most other sports, you simple have to be consistent with your daily exercises, especially when an individual aims to become a pro in the field. If you would hit the ball over the line you will trigger the attention of your opponent, because it simple is against the rules. Be professional and stick to the rules of the game.
The easy move with the ping pong paddles is again to hit the ball and bounce on your site to your opponent´s site of the table. That is how easy it is. The next rule that has to be followed, is to throw the ball up during serving. Again, this is critical because there are innumerous techniques on how to do this, but only one that is regularly allowed during a serious match. Throwing the ball up correctly is another rule that should be strictly followed. A person has to practice throwing the ball up by holding it with one´s flat hand and hitting it with the ping pong paddle. This is the second process in learning a serve like it should be performed in a top professional game.
After you improve in your performance, make sure to keep focusing on bouncing the ball closer to the net. This leads to making the return for your opponent more difficult and tough. These were just a few tips to develop more efficient ping pong serving skills.
