Are you searching for wide open spaces, curving white beaches, craggy mountains for a peaceful small town feel to call home? A place where you can unwind, relax and refresh, yet still offer numerous activities to keep you stimulated.
Then Fish Hoek Properties is what you are searching for. Located about halfway down the Cape Peninsula, it boasts one of the most stunning family beaches in the world, stretching from Clovelly Station, northwards past the mouth of the Silvermine River, the colourful bathing boxes have become a cheery landmark. Favourite activities on this easily accessible beach are
-
Swimming (lifesavers are on duty)
-
Body surfing
-
Boogie boarding
-
Wind surfing
-
Kayaking
-
Hobie cat sailing
Once used for open boat whaling, Fish Hoek is now a popular whale watching spot. Southern Right whales arrive in the bay between July and November to calf. There are several tea and coffee shops, restaurants, snack bars, and take-aways to choose from to sit and enjoy the awe-inspiring view of these whales frolicking in the waves. With such a breath-taking coastline, it is logical that seafood is the speciality, although other tastes and traditions are very well catered for too.
A short climb above the dunes in Fish Hoek is Peers Cave, a rock sanctuary used by primitive man that affords dazzling views across the Peninsula to both oceans from across the valley as well as a peek into stone-age history. The cave is named after Victor Peers who uncovered an approximately 15000 year old fossilised skull here in 1927.

Adding to the hospitable small town ambience of Fish Hoek Properties is the fact that no liquor stores have been established in Fish Hoek, due to a clause on the Deed of Grant when the land was granted to Andreas Bruins in 1818 (to prevent wagon drivers from stopping over too long to have a drink on their way to Simons Town). Residents in the area are still resolutely upholding this, although they have sanctioned restaurant and bar licenses in the area.
In addition, the valley is becoming a world class healing destination offering a vast assortment of health and wellness services, including
