Customized lanyards are the perfect alternative to buying uniforms for your staff. Trying to buy and maintain uniforms for staff is no longer economically feasible for many companies. Consider all the problems and issues surrounding uniforms and it is easy to see why uniforms may not be the best solution for many businesses. A lanyard is the preferred solution if the uniform is not worn for safety or for health reasons. Many businesses often require that their staff wear a uniform to indicate where they are employed. This scenario particularly applies to individuals who work in retail or in certain office situations. The uniform is an indication to the customers that a certain person is a member of the staff.
If you are not sure of which would suit your company, consider the problems of trying to provide staff with any kind of uniform. Buying uniforms will be very costly and you will have to consider how many you will need and how many to give to each employee. Then you will have to look into the material that the uniform is made of. Is all of your staff going to be able to wear the material? What about allergies or problems with chemicals? What about washing and cleaning? If the employees are going to be washing their own uniforms you have to be concerned about shrinkage and employees taking the uniform off the premises. Some companies have tried to get their employees to buy their own uniforms, but many people will not want to work for a company that is not willing to provide them with a uniform. Rather than dealing with all of these issues, companies are looking to new solutions and one thing that they have discovered is that a lanyard is the perfect answer.
After reading all the negatives about staff uniforms, consider the benefits of simply providing employees with a lanyard.
All employees are permitted to wear their own clothes providing that those garments meet the requirements of the business' dress code. This means that the company does not have to worry about, repairs, replacing or buying any kind of clothing. Nor do they have to worry about any items going missing. The company simply issues a lanyard to each member of the staff.
Lanyards are cheap and can be worn by almost anyone. There are very few, if any, people who will not be able to wear a lanyard and if you do have an employee who has an allergy, it is a simple matter to make sure that when you buy your lanyards you get ones that are made from a bamboo or similar product. Bamboo lanyards are virtually chemical free and will not cause any allergic reactions.
Another great thing about providing staff with a lanyard is that an employer can truly customize the lanyard to suit the needs of his employees. If an employer is asking that their staff have an ID tag, a lanyard is a great way to ensure that the employees have their tag in plain view at all times. The other advantage of the lanyard is that it can quickly be altered to carry or hold any number of other items that a person might be required to have while performing their duties. Many companies are finding that a lanyard is a great way for staff to hang onto keys. Many employees can be seen wearing either a wrist or a neck lanyard as they go about their tasks. Employers have learned that by using this method, there is far less chance of the employee losing the keys or of putting them in a pocket and going home with them.
A lanyard can easily be printed with a company's logo and colors, or their slogan. These lanyards are clearly visible and will let your customers know exactly who is an employee. The customized lanyard is a great alternative to the costly staff uniform.
