The World Of Flat Worms!
Picture a world of only two dimensions. This is a flat world where only flat worms live.
There is no "up" and no "down," but only forward, backward and sideways!
On this flat world, flat worms slither this way and that, in the way of flat worms.
Frank is our friendly flat worm -- he slithers this way and that. He is, however, just a bit more adventuresome than the other flat worms and goes out into some flat areas where no one has ever slithered before.
One day, Frank bumps into a pole!
Now, a "pole" cannot exist on a flat world. It is a contradiction in terms. A flat world cannot have poles! What does this flat worm do when he hits the pole?
There are many different reactions to data which is unbelievable. One reaction is to decide, or pretend, that it didn’t happen. To forget the whole event.
Frank decides to pretend he never bumped into a "pole!"
He continues to slither around, somewhat apprehensive now, always worried that he might again run into that "something" which he doesn’t understand. One day he does!
Depending on the worm, he might again try to erase the event from his memory, but he might choose another alternative -- he might try climbing the pole!
Frank decides to climb the pole. He looks down on the formerly flat world and has two sudden realizations: First, his world is NOT flat! Next, there are thousands of other flat worms down there who don’t know that the pole exists, that the world is NOT flat.
He may or may not immediately appreciate some problems he will encounter when he starts telling the other flat worms about the pole.
In any event, down the pole he comes -- off to the adventure of telling (or shall he decide to NOT tell?) other flat worms about his new discovery.
If he is going to tell them, he has all sorts of strategies to work out -- as to how to tell other worms without their getting angry, or ignoring him, or whatever other reaction they might have.
He tries his friends:
"Look," he says, "I just bumped into a pole, climbed it and I could see the entire flat world from up high!"
This may be a sure route to the insane asylum, or he may just lose all his friends. He might get shot! In any event, he will run into a wide variety of reactions, not unlike what might be occurring within a group of different persons reading this Book on Heart Disease and Water.
You Have Been Living In A
Flat World
Your flat world is made up of doctors and drug companies who tell you that you need this surgery or that drug to cure your ailments. You are bombarded with ads and non-commercial messages about the care of your body and the foods you should eat.
We are, maybe, not yet aware that our world is flat, but we sure know the health world we live in is going to pot. It’s time to start looking for the pole!
This Section is a Map To Find A Pole!
Once you understand the data in this Section you will realize that there is virtually NO traditional doctor who would benefit financially from encouraging you to follow the suggestions in this Section.
You would be very well advised to find a health-oriented doctor or nutritionist where you will often get help on starting your water treatment -- that doctor will welcome you who does not start with the assumption that only drugs can cure.
He will be a far better and more moral doctor than a drug-addicted pill-pusher or a knife-happy surgeon.
Your Flat World Includes
Drugs For Heart Disease
You’ve been taught that you should be able to control high blood pressure, high cholesterol and all the causes of heart disease with the proper diet (and usually by losing weight). You have tried and failed to change your diet. There are many millions of Americans in this condition!
So, reluctantly, you give up on the "natural way" and accept the doctor’s recommendation for pills. You start on the drugged route to health! Unfortunately, there isn’t any way you can get there on that road.
Study after study has shown that different types of drinking water, alone, can be the explanation of big differences in death from heart disease. You probably haven’t heard about these studies because you live in a flat world, where the poles are hidden from you.
Here’s a pole!
I’ll repeat a bit about the difference between "hard water" and "soft water." The soft water gives you much more soap bubbles in the shower. The hard water leaves a scale of white hard stuff on the inside of pots and kettles. Some people are even told the evil lie that their health will improve if they would only get a water softener for their home.
Technically, water is considered "hard" when it has a lot of dissolved calcium carbonate in it. Calcium carbonate is a molecule which includes calcium and carbon. Since hard water is a very common substance, there are many other dissolved minerals that can also make the water "hard." There is an accepted measuring system for "hardness."
The system is to measure the number of milligrams of calcium carbonate for every liter of water. This is then expressed in terms of parts per million (PPM).
Thus, if there is a lot of calcium carbonate in your water, you might have a "hardness measure" of 181 PPM of calcium carbonate. If the measure comes to 60 PPM or less, your water is very soft.
Remember, hard water has lots of calcium. It may also have many other minerals.
When scientists have studied different areas of the world, where the drinking water was naturally hard, or naturally soft, they found amazing differences in the number of deaths caused by heart disease.
What they have found is uniform -- it is the same finding no matter where in the world they do their study. Where the water is hard the death rate from heart disease is lower than in areas where the water is soft.
In fact, they also find that the death rate from cancer is lower in areas where the people naturally drink hard water.
For instance, there were two towns in England, near one another. They were Scunthrope and Grimsby. Both towns drank the same water, from the same source, for years. Scunthrope softened its water from 488 PPM of total hardness to 100 PPM. Grimsby did not change its water. The results:
There appears to have been a striking increase in cardiovascular disease in the town that softened its water, whereas, if anything, in the other town either nothing happened or there was a slight increase.
These results show up time after time. The scientific conclusion is firm and valid: drinking hard water, rather than soft, greatly reduces your chances of dying of heart disease.
Scientists have not figured out "why" yet, and have done all sorts of studies of the individual components in the "hard" water. So, that research is not complete. But, we don’t have to wait for that research to realize that we have been living in a world of flat worms, where the truth about drinking water has not been told.
I now invite you to climb the pole of hard water and see, for yourself, that the real world is one in which soft water is dangerous and hard water is healthy. Climb this Statue of Liberty; gaze out to freedom from disease!
Who else has ever given you this data!
