In my continuing research into the uses of herbal vaporizers I found that they were even more versatile than I had suspected. When I was growing up using a vaporizer meant I had a cold and needed scented, steamy air to help with congestion. The world of vaporization has certainly changed since then.
When I began researching vaporizers I imagined very limited uses. For instance, I knew they could be used by those who were trying to quit smoking. An E-cigarette is just a miniature vaporizer. An herbal vaporizer can be used to produce vapor with any number of medicinal herbs. Some vaporizers also have the capability to use essential oils. The vapor is produced by hot air passing through the herb or plant material and giving off a pleasant vapor, not steam, that can be inhaled or infused into the atmosphere. The plant material is not burned so harmful carcinogens and other damaging matter is not produced, only pleasant flavors and active ingredients.
The herbal vaporizer can be used for inhalation of vapor but it can also be used for other less obvious things. One website I discovered also suggested using the vapor in cooking. It was described as a way to flavor food with pure aromatic vapor, which was referred to as aromatization. In cooking, vapor for flavoring can be used in several ways. If the vaporizer uses a balloon to collect the vapor, it is more than likely made from the same material that is used in most cooking bags. Once the bag has been used several times, or even once or twice, the food item can be placed inside and cooked slowly in the oven in the same manner used by roasting or cooking bags.
Another method for using the balloon, is to fill it with the vapor from some aromatic herb and seal it. This aroma-filled bag is then pierced with tiny holes and placed under the serving dish. The aromatic scent is released throughout the meal enhancing the dining experience. Chefs are constantly experimenting with new herbs and spices. An herbal vaporizer provides them with one more tool to use in their cooking.
Many herbal vaporizers can be used to release aromatic vapor into the air. Just place the herb or essential oil into the vaporizer and heat it at an appropriate temperature. Many vaporizers have fans to dispense the vapor into the balloon which can also be used to disperse the vapor into the air. The aromatic vapor can also be inhaled. Different herbs can be used for different effects. Different herbs require different heating temperatures so it is a good idea to do some research before using them. It should also be noted that not all herbs are safe to inhale.
Herbal vaporizers are often used as an aid to quit smoking. It is important to remember that vapor is often more concentrated when direct inhalation is used. It is best to begin with small amounts of herbs or tobacco and increase as needed. When tobacco is burned, the active ingredients are burned off, leaving behind the unhealthy carcinogens and other materials. A vaporizer provides only flavor and other more beneficial ingredients.
In conclusion, please consider using an herbal vaporizer for cooking, healthy inhalation, and to aid you in your battle to quit smoking. It can be a handy tool for a variety of uses. Remember, do some research when you try a new herb in order to use it correctly.
