Salvia Divinorum is a recreational drug that is being used for its psychedelic effect. It is not a party drug and those who tried using it do not have the desire to go through the experience again. Most of the people who are well experienced in using entheogens are often not very satisfied with the effects produced by the extracted plant material.
However if you still wish to try using it then it is better to use the non extracted whole plant material as it tends to produce a mild and gentle effect that is long lasting. It can be easily absorbed and has often derived greater benefits. This recreational drug can be a useful one if used in this manner.
The possible effects that a person might experience are quite limited so far. As far as the toxicity of the substance is concerned, it is known very little. Some of the psychedelic effects experienced after using Salvia Divinorum are often not found in other psychedelics. Some people after smoking salvia might indulge in activities that might be dangerous. They might indulge in standing up and begin walking or moving around might even run to objects that are in their path or right ahead of them. Most people high on salvia often fail to recognize their surrounding area. One of the most common occurrences for smoking salvia is that they fail to recognize their highly inebriated condition and will start walking around.
People who are high on Salva often desire to go for a long drive or leave the premises and go to another location. It is very important to try dissuading them from this though it is a difficult one but one must try to. So as to deal with this condition the presence of a sober person in the group is of utmost importance. Most of the people do not recall what they were doing when they were high on the recreational drug.
From the normal individual’s point of view, those people using these drugs often wear a blank look in their eyes with a frightened facial expression. This plant may also induce psychological danger. They tend to reiterate themselves from the very idea of sanity, logic and the idea of existence.
