Indian photography as an art form and certainly as a concept gained a dimension with the arrival of the British. Since, then photography in India has never looked back. The extensive acceptance that has resulted in the framework brought with it its bad and good sides. However, with the diverseness in its numerous genres, like nature, night, wedding, war, family or concert photography, one cannot accept the fact that each corner in these styles are loaded with wonder and surprise. Be it in black-and-white photography, antique photography, colour photography, sepia photography or, art is employed in every outlook in photography. The video photography type also settles in to photographic aesthetics.
Furthermore, it is the elegance of the black and white photography or the appeal of coloured photography or the legend of the sepia photography; it is the tone, shade and lustre of each type of photography that evokes interest and curiosity among the onlookers. Furthermore, Indian stock photography comprises a cluster of different images and visuals of each and every corner of India.
Indian stock photography thus can be classified into four major types
Black-and-White photography
Black-and-white photography is photography where the image produced has a single shade, rather than recording the colours of the object that was captured. It embraces all forms of black and white photography, which produce images containing tones of grey ranging from black to white. This type of photography is considered more fine and interpretive, and less realistic than colour photography
Colour photography
Colour photography is a photography that uses medium capable of representing colours, which are traditionally produced chemically during the photographic giving out phase. In comparison to black-and-white photography, which records only a single channel of brightness and uses media capable only of showing shades of grey, colour photography produces photographs with different colours, shades and tones. It basically attracts users to have a glance on them.
Digital photography
Digital photography is a form of photography that uses a range of light sensitive sensors to capture the image focused by the lens, as opposed to an exposure on light sensitive film. The clicked image is then stored as a digital file prepared for digital processing that is colour correction, sizing, cropping and many more. Before the advent of such technology, photographs were made by revealing light sensitive photographic film and used chemical photographic processing to develop the image.
Sepia photography
Sepia photography is the photography n which the photographer artificially washes over an image with a colour to create a warmer effect. Sometimes, the aim is to make the new photo look like an old photograph inducing memories and feelings.
