Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is the current disputed king of the first person shooter on the PC. However, its sensory overloading visceral thrilling ride may be a bit heavy on the realism for some, at least in terms of available weapons and mission structure.

If you like to play first person shooter games Rambo style, as in you like to just run into situations with guns blazing and think about the consequences later, Front Lines should probably have a home on your hard drive. Its premise may not be original - the setting depicts a world conflict between the East and West over dwindling oil resources - nor are any of the single player characters. However, the game is chock full of adrenaline rush movements, and a big portion of the thanks for this goes to the generous arsenal of weapons you can wield and the range of vehicles you can drive.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is all about blowing stuff up over and over again – talk about fast paced action. The game is even more enhanced on a fast PC with a high-end video card. Your eyes will feast on the pyrotechnic displays, which include more than a few DX10 bells and whistles, such as motion blur and advanced particle effects. That said, the game is based on the unreal 3 engine and it looks more than just good overall, even stellar at times, but still feels a bit dusty when compared to Call of Duty 4.

Multi player action, however, is the intended to be star of the show here, with massive maps designed for epic showdowns involving up to 64 players. Teams battle for control of resource points, forming a front line dividing friend and foe. Teams must control the entire map (or kill enough enemy troops) to win the map. If this sounds familiar, it should; the premise is similar to the game called Battlefield´s. Players can choose from four available player roles, and my personal favorite was drone technician- a soldier that controls deadly remote controlled cars and helicopters. Unfortunately, myriads of bugs made joining multi player matches difficult, and caused stability issues that scarred Front Lines. Nvidia owners are also plagued by an annoying glitch that can cause the action to pause every 10 seconds or so. If the developers can patch up all the holes, there is a great game here. Until then, it is merely just another good game.
