It appears that there is an ever-growing number of ways to make money. Some people suggest that the bubble has to burst sooner or later, but there doesn't seem to be any of that happening signs just yet. The governments are claiming a better-than-ever number of people are living above the poverty line, getting clean water and enough food, and even an education. However, we still see evidence of poverty, famine and disease on the news every day. Is this because we now have more access to the news with our Wi-Fi devices and broadband connections? Or is it because technology is now allowing access to these remote and isolated areas of poverty and hardship? And here we are, with several television sets, two cars, children at school and a full-time job, but we still want to make more money. I'm afraid it is just the way we humans are.
So, how does one make money? Being employed will never make you rich. You need to think of something new and attractive. There are so many ideas that it is difficult to know where to start. Invent something so new that you will become a millionaire within a year or two. No, the chances of that are so small. How many real inventors are there in the world? Any successful ones will retire after one or two great patents.
No, you need to have an idea that will accommodate quick growth and minimal investment, especially without having to introduce others to take a share of your profits. Probably the most popular method is to find a gap in the market for something that has a good profit margin and minimal customer interaction. Advertise it, sell it, and ship it! It's Simple, effective and profitable, but where and how? The internet is most people's favoured medium for finding customers and advertising their goods. And, to make sure you get your money, be careful how you get paid online. You just have to be careful, yet brave; focused, yet open-minded; determined, yet ready to accept that we are all capable of coming up with a bad idea.
The service industry needs hours, so is never going to make a fortune overnight. The customers are paying for time, someone's time. It's impossible to build an empire in this sector within a short space of time or without a huge slice of lady luck.
All in all, the best business ideas need some thought, help, luck, confidence and hard work. Get yourself online to research how it is done and don't be ashamed or afraid of defeat, or doing something that maybe doesn't suit your personality. After all, it is money we are all after.
