Wanting to purposely harm someone, and going out of your way to do so, is considered as violence. Close combat training does not focus on physically trying to harm someone and is merely a way to improve upon your natural survival instincts; think about it, if someone is coming towards you with a weapon or with the intention to cause you harm or danger you don’t just remain still, give in and let them over power you. For centuries, and ever since man was on the Earth, we have had the ability to survival solely on our instincts, this is where close combat training focuses on and tries to improve for your benefit.

When your survival instincts are alerted, you will find yourself doing everything that you can to save your life and others around you; close combat training focuses on ensuring that you do not obtain serious injuries when you are attacked or protecting yourself, it simply heightens your instincts and enables you to use the energy and determination that you have to overcome your opponent.

Along with building up your confidence, close combat training tries to improve on the natural skills that you will have already obtained throughout your life and that are already built into you. Close combat training focuses on explaining that humans are not trained to kill or to attack, but to simply save themselves if they are put into a dangerous situation; people within the military, police forces and the army are prime examples of this as they are training to the highest standards and yet are not forced to kill, but skilled to survive and protect.

Homing in on your instincts and becoming aware of the skills you already have is only the beginning when doing close combat training; in time you will discover that you can prevent injuries and protect yourself when you are in danger, you need not rely on anyone else to help you. It is likely that you are going to be surprised at how your natural instincts can take over your body, so building upon these may just what be saves your life.

Don’t hesitate when it comes to close combat training, and ensure that you will be able to use your survival instincts when it counts the most. Anyone can try to defend themselves, but now you can make sure you are the best that you can be.
